If you're a hardcore gamer, television or movie watcher, these aren't for you. However, these are currently more of a novelty item and should be viewed as such. First off, if you need a television for your home, but are considering HMD technology, do not buy these. I feel it's important to stress some points that I've noticed come up.

Even now it's double the costs of the MyBud. For a device that came out at $800, I expected more. Avegant Glyph came out, but all the reviews say the heaset included isn't very good, the picture size is small and that it's uncomfortable after a short while. However, if you need HDMI input from your HMD, not much else is out at this point.

Something else about the Samsung VR is there are ways to stream PC games to the headset. If you have any other phone, truthfully I'm not sure how "good" google carboard is for media consumption and I would really recommend you looking into that if your phone isn't to dated. Don't look at this product, get yourself a Samsung VR Headset and enjoy one of the clearest and sharpest pictures you've ever seen. If you have a Samsung Phone specifically and are only interested in media consumption (movies, tv, netflix, etc). Meanwhile VR headsets are gaining a lot of popularity and may do what a lot of users want for a fraction of the costs. While I still stand by this being one of the better HMDs' on the market, the truth is the market hasn't really grown for HDMI accepting HMDs'. Update : So with my review now being almost a year old, I thought I would discuss this product a bit more. They are very light and I have not had any issue wearing them for 3 hours at a time.

I can use any bluetooth headset, as I have the plantations go 2, which the audio from my surface plays with out any delay when connected via bluetooth. I don't care for the headphones, I use my beats over the ear headphones and I don't have any issues with the arms of the glasses and the headphones. I don't wear glasses, so not sure if that would impact this. Other feedback, the screens are crisp, I have not seen the blury issues reported by others. With 7 hours of playback, its not really necessary, but I like to be prepared when I travel. I travel with a ravpower device, and this works well. So if you have mybud, or your thinking about it.get this usb cable and your good to go on charging. The battery takes a while to charge with original or this adapter, its three hours at least. I found that a typical USB charger and this cable will allow you to charge the device. The problem is this makes the charger stick out from the wall alot, and its ugly looking. Its a korean plut, reguardless what anyone else says, as of 9/17, they are including a US adapter, so don't buy separate adapter. The only issue have with these is the power adapter. I don't use the controller box to charge my device, so I have gotten at least 7 hours of screen time on a single charge, is it 10 hours as indicated in description? No. as long as my Kodi plays it, it shows up on my screen. I wanted to be able to watch any format video I could throw at it. I went with these because they accepted hdmi input. are they big enough to watch tv or look at your desktop on a pc? Yes they are. Does the screen look like its a 100" big, not really. I don't use them daily, but several times a week.
I have had these for several weeks as this point. I purchased these exactly for these reasons and I am more than happy with the results. What they are good for at least as far as I am concerned: Traveling on airplane, sitting in car at lunch, laying in bed with wife and she won't allow tv to be on.
